What a sweet note that Peyton found in her backpack!!

Too bad I didn't write it!!

I still can't figure this out, except that maybe she got the BOY Peyton's note mixed in her backpack somehow.  

Either way, she knows she is loved, AND I got bonus points for being an awesome mom who leaves notes in her backpack.  Major win for me!  Thanks "Other Peyton's Mom!"

Peyton is also quite the artist.  She drew this picture of her (the blue and orange hair), her friend London (the girl with the smile), and her other friend from school, Brenlee, who Peyton has had some recess drama with (hence the sad face).  Peyton made up a song the other day about Brenlee and it went:

"You run away from me, I run away from you, it's like we're not even friends anymore!  Yeah, yeah yeah!  It's like we're not even friends anymore!  Sing it with me!  It's like we're not even friends anymore!"

Can I just say that this girl's teenage years TERRIFY me??

Blast from the Past...Lunch Buddy

Last year, I tried to eat lunch with Brody at least once a month.  He always looked forward to our lunch dates, and it was so fun to see all of his friends.  He is a well liked kiddo (who wouldn't like him?)  The kids would say "Brody!  Brody!  Is this your mom?"  He would grab my hand and proudly say "Yes!"  I know the day will come when he won't be so excited to show me off to his friends, so for now, I will revel in it.  Makes me think...I need a lunch date soon.
