Pumpkin Patch

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to go to the Right Choices Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Missouri, to celebrate 2 sweet little girls birthdays.  Camry and Kenlee Lowden both turned 2 within 2 weeks of eachother, so Erin and April had a joint party.

The kids had fun on the cow train, the hay ride, the slides, looking at the animals in the small farm zoo, eating kettle corn, swinging on tire swings, exploring caves, and picking pumpkins.  Peyton decided she wanted to go in her Halloween costume--why not?

We made goo!

Thank you Pinterest!  These are also throwbacks to 2011.  A lot of corn starch, a little water, and some food coloring, and we had some fun goo!  Brody's face says it all about how he felt about the texture!

Terra Studios

Last Saturday after picking up Nick's carpet cleaning van from the tire shop in Fayetteville, we drove out past Elkins, to Terra Studios.  This place is awesome!  They are the home of the famous Bluebird of Happiness.  Each kid was able to pick a bird (as well as Nick and I).  We walked around and VERY carefully looked at all of the art in the gallery.  Then, we went outside and had fun having hula hoop contests, giant chess, giant checkers, and running around the labrynth.  The art outside is AMAZING!  What a hidden gem!  I can't believe it has taken me 13 years of living here to go and visit Terra Studios.  Watch out T.S....the Petersen's WILL be back!

After our trip to Terra Studios, we went to La Huerta (A.K.A. La Hurt Ya) and had some Mexican food, and watched football, and then the kids passed out on the way home (hence the last picture).  We wound up having our favorite babysitter, Katie C. babysit at night, so that Nick and I were able to have a very uplifting datenight of Stake Conference, and then grocery shopping.  We love Katie, we love Stake Conference, and we love having food in our house!

It was a perfect day!
