Blast from the Past...Beckett's Funny Face

I love this picture.  I love this face.  When she was home last spring, Amanda babysat Beckett for me a couple of times while I worked.  She sent this to me while I was working, and it lit up my day. 

Blast from the Past...Brody Plays Soccer

This past Spring, Brody played soccer for the NWA Lightening League.  His team's name was The Gators.  He played with his buddy, Chance, and Nick and John were the coaches.  We had a lot of fun watching the Gator's play! 

I found that I enjoyed him being in Spring Soccer much more than I did Fall Soccer.  The air was not as cool, and we were settled into a better routine with school/work/life.  We are looking forward to soccer again this Spring.

Blast from the Past...Beckett's First Cereal

Beckett ate his first rice cereal at 4 1/2 months old. He was able to figure the "open-mouth-insert-food-then-swallow" process quite quickly. He has been a great eater since birth.

Sickie Sicks

Today, Beckett and I are staying home from church.  He has had a stomach bug for the past couple of days, and whether it is from exhaustion, or the same bug, I am just not feeling that great myself.  He is napping right now, and after a few posts I am going to try to do the same.  Friday night he threw up about 15 times.  His little body is just drained.  He has been running a fever and having a runny nose on top of things.  He doesn't want food, or milk...just juice and pedialite.  Thankfully, he is keeping those things down.

I am sad to miss church today.  Aside from not having the spiritual pick me up I crave each week, I am also going to be missing my big kid's primary program.  I have sent them with special instructions to do their best, and return and report, and sing me some songs.

R.I.P. Lance

On December 16, 2011, with Beckett in tow, I was rear ended in Fayetteville.  Luckily, nobody was hurt.  It was a 4 car pile up, and I suffered whip lash and some scratches to our bumper, but nothing more serious.

Three weeks later, on February 3, 2012, I was rear ended again, and sandwhiched between the car that hit me, and the car in front of me. My whip lash was intensified, and this time my car was totaled. 

Because the car accidents happened so close together, I have had to hire a lawyer to work out the details of the settlement with the insurance companies.  We have bought a new (old) car.  It is a 1999 Acural RL, and other than some power steering issues (which have been resolved), the Acura has been a GREAT car. 

Lance, the Lancer, will be forever missed.

Blast From the Past- Bestie and Baby

I love these pictures of Angie and Emily with Beckett.  You can really feel how much they love him, from the looks on their faces.  I remember Angie talking about how sweet they are when they are so fresh from Heaven.  You can tell she is thinking that in this picture.  A year later, Beckett loves his Auntie Angie and the rest of the Chase clan.
